Yes, Strings Attached — Cover
2010
Giclée prints hand-assembled and bound as an accordion book.
individual page size: 11x17

“Yes, Strings Attached (Are you tea or coffee?)” is a 26 page visual narrative on the ongoing political arguments of our time. The book is composed of six, continuous, four-page sections meant to suggest how one topic is connected to the other. Each section presents an issue using typographic design to communicate the message in a neutral manner. A hand-drawn “string” element is used throughout as a metaphor to embody the notion that the discussion is always changing in form but not content. The symbolic use of color and pattern was also applied to enhance and initiate thinking about specific issues such as the use of dna strands in the “choice” sequence, and enlarged monetary patterns for the “greed” sequence.
